Ceramic & Floral Workshops: Clay to Bouquet Workshop Series
This May, ArtHaus is offering a ‘Clay to Bouquet’ workshop series just in time for summer. Over the course of three workshops, students will create a ceramic vase, glaze it, and adorn it with a floral arrangement. The first two workshops will be in the ArtHaus studio where ceramic artist Kaley Cross will lead students through making hand-built, textural vases and dip-glazing. If you’re interested in learning how to craft handbuilt mugs, sculptures, and more, this is the perfect entrance into clay handbuilding.
In the third session at Convergence CiderWorks, Clara Muggli-Toyloy of Oak and Olive Flowers’ will provide flowers, tips, and tricks for arranging bouquets. Choosing from a variety of flowers grown at Oak and Olive’s micro-farm in Decorah, students will arrange their own, unique bouquet to display in their handmade vase. Registration is available at ArtHaus’ website and includes one drink at the final workshop from Convergence CiderWorks.
